Just heard the news.

I knew Kathi and Larry when I went to the Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1970B. A calm level-headed very loyal friend in nursing training. Met her dad, an Ontario government deputy minister. She came to my wedding to Duncan Read at St. Paul's College, University of Waterloo. I have a lovely photo of her at our wedding. Unfortunately, thereafter I only saw  her at TGH reunions. We lived in Windsor when Duncan went to law school there but it was 1974-8 and Kathi had already graduated with her degree in nursing from Windsor U. Really enjoyed seeing her at the last reunion 2015, hearing about her work with the humane society after retiring from nursing and about Larry and their sons. She and the members of the TGH class of 1970B kept in touch through Xmas cards, gettogethers, and 5 year reunions.

Duncan and I are very sad to hear this news. It is hard to believe. Sincere condolences to Larry and family. Anne and Duncan Read
