Condolence: One of my best friend's is Bill's grand-daughter Amanda. She is a wonderful person and I know that a large part is due to Bill and Margret's influence in her life. My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend a lovely weekend with them at the cottage this summer. He will be missed.

Condolence From: Bill & Joy Blackwood
Condolence: Bill, I have great memories of working with you at Buick, attending N.A.D.A. events in San Francisco, Dallas, Las Vegas, and your tour of duty as my "boss" while I was a supplier to GM of Canada. You were truly a great guy - Bill Blackwood Margaret, both Billy Ray and I were thrilled that the two of you attended our wedding, so many years ago! You are very special people in our hearts. My brother, Hugh Parker, also wanted to send his condolences and best wishes. He enjoyed getting to know you both and learning of our connection while he de-bugged your cottage!!! When we both learned of Bill's passing it was within seconds, literally, that we called each other with the news. Love to you and your family at this saddest of times - Joy Parker Blackwood

Condolence: Margaret, Reading your e-mail about Bill's passing brings back volumes of happy memories with the two of you. Life started becoming such a struggle in the last few years, but he seemed to have kept up his spirit with great braveness. I want to run and tell Larry, but in faith assume he already knows. Their friendship was very special to Larry. I pray knowing Bill's not suffering you will be able to find peace. He loved Wendy and Paul with all his heart and, if possible, loved those grandkids even more. May all of you know you were blessed to have known him.

Condolence: Margaret, I am so saddened to learn of Bill’s death. Bill and I met at GMI 60 years ago and it was an instant friendship. Bill was a natural leader with a bit of blarney thrown in. We had lots of adventures in college and the years after graduation. Our respective jobs took us to various parts of the world and we maintained a long distance friendship. I will miss him. I offer my sincerer sympathy to you and your family.

Condolence: Mr. A, as we referred to our Applewood Chev owner and ambassador. Mr/ A was indeed a people person. Every morning he would walk the dealership and say hello and talk to fellow staff members. He always asked about your family and how things were going. I will remember Mr. A as a warm, kind and generous man. Deepest condolences to Mrs. A, Paul and the family.

Condolence: Bill was a great leader, a man of integrity, an ethical, honest person. He was a role-model for many, and represented all the excellent qualities that were expected from GM. He always conducted himself with class and dignity, a professional and competent man in all endeavours. Those of us who worked with him, both retail and wholesale, held him in high respect and were honoured to be associated with him. He left a unique and positive mark on all of us.
