My condolences to Lorraine's family. She was a proud mother and grandmother. I have many happy memories of walks on the trail, concerts, chats and board games (where we didn't keep score). Lorraine's indomitable spirit, sense of humour and positive attitude were remarkable. I will always remember her practising a speech about her life. Her first sentence was "The word that best describes my life is idyllic." She was an example for us all.

I feel so blessed to have known Lorraine. She had a warmth and beauty that came from her heart. She, by example, taught life is worth living regardless of barriers. She taught optimism is always the better attitude. 'Never say no' is a worthwhile motto and she lived that as her life style. It was a pleasure to have her as a dance partner. Conversation dwelt on love of life and family. She added love and warmth to every event in which she participated. It was her gift to hold in our memory.
