Obituary for Bernadette Black

Black, Bernadette J. (nee O’Connor) passed away peacefully at Wasaga Seniors Residence with family at her side on June 26, 2018 in her 86th year. She is survived by her children Susan Bowins (Scott), Kathy Black (Moe), Randy Black (Juan) and Laura Smith (Greg); proud Nan of Sam and Shelby Bowins, Matt and Cash Keillor, Tamara and Krista Smith and she was blessed with 8 great grandchildren; beloved sister of Shirley Brownlee of Collingwood and sister in law of Joyce O’Connor (the late Sam) and Joyce O’Connor (the late Gerry) of Peterborough and Bob Kivell (the late Margy) of Fenelon Falls. Predeceased by Mr. Ron Black. She was a special aunt to Donna Elliott (Howard) and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Peterborough she enjoyed life there, in Toronto and Collingwood. She finished her days at the wonderful Wasaga Beach Seniors Residence and the family extends very special thanks to Sarak Srey (Pom, Chris and Sam) and ALL the staff and fellow residents. A private celebration will be held at a later date in Wasaga Beach.
