Obituary for Beverley Larkin

Beverley Phyllis Larkin
Beverley passed away peacefully at home on March 19th, while surrounded by her children. She was the loving wife of Lee Larkin, the sister of Barbara and Virginia Farr (all predeceased) and is survived by her children David, Virginia, Cathy and Jeff, her grandchildren Beverley, Hayley, Sara Olivia, Ryan, Kyle and Tessa, and her niece Sherrill Robinson.
Beverley, the daughter of Wilfred and Hermaine Bole, grew up in Montreal and Toronto, and earned a degree in photography from Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia. After college, she returned to Toronto, established a commercial photography business, volunteered for the Junior League, and began a family. Early dates with Lee included rides up the ski hills of Collingwood on the chair lifts of the day – the horse drawn sleigh. Lee and Beverley were original members of the Osler Bluff Ski Club, where they developed a lifelong passion for skiing and where they made many of their lifelong friends. Beverley loved to host her friends at her home in Toronto and at her cottage on Lake Rosseau, and she often travelled with them to distant parts of the world.
In their later years, Beverley and Lee retired to Collingwood. Though Beverley suffered a number of strokes and developed stroke-related dementia, she maintained a sweet and kind spirit that endeared her to all. Her family wishes to express its profound gratitude to the dedicated team of caregivers that cared for Beverley, many of whom were with her for over a decade.
Beverley has been cremated and will be interred in a private ceremony. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
