Condolence From: john kawaja
Condolence: I remember falling in love with the game of curling as a teenage kid, and wanting to play like Moon. He was a character, he was original, he loved competing, and he was good! I feel fortunate that I had a chance at the London Brier last year to have a beer with Moon and tell him how I used to love watching him play. God bless.

Condolence From: Lois & Joe Gurowka
Condolence: Sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Ron was a great and skilful curler (With Alphie Phillips he was on the winning team that won the Brier in 1967). I can recall many great curling memories of battles against Ron, both when he curled with Alphie and later in the 70’s when he skipped his own team. The curling fraternity has lost a great friend and curler.

Condolence From: Jim Waite
Condolence: Sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He was a great guy to compete against back in the 1970's when we knocked heads so often. He played hard but always had a smile during and after the game....Ron was just a terrific guy to be around in the sport of curling. We saw him on occasion more recently on his boat as we met going through the canal system....still the same smile and laugh. He will be missed.

Condolence From: John Cushing
Condolence: My skipper. In my opinion Moon was the best shot maker to play the game. We curled, we practiced and we had fun together. Playing third for the Moon was the best seat in the game. Despite his reputation for the good times, he was a devoted family man, businessman and friend. He showed us all how to have fun and be responsible for the important things in life. He is a legend in the game of curling and a legend in my life. The stories will go on. John Cushing

Condolence: Ron was great guy.... I worked with him for about 17 years and have many fond memories. The crusty personally was a facade for a REAL genuine man with a heart of gold! Ron said it like he saw it, salt of the earth and a real decent man. My heartfelt sympathy goes to his family and all of the friend who knew this larger than life personality.Ron will be forever remembered for his great laugh!

Condolence From: Earle Morris
Condolence: Condolences to the family of one of Canada's best curlers. Great curling memories of battles against Alfie Philipps team with Ron at 2nd and then later on with Ron skipping, in the 70s. Fierce competitor who always knew how to have a good time. He lived and exemplified what curling should always be all about - tough competition combined with the ability to put the game behind you and have fun afterward.
