Obituary for Alfred Bailey
Bailey, Alfred passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022, with family by his side, at Campbell House, at the age of 91.
Alf hailed from Toronto but loved his time spent in Creemore. He had a strong work ethic, joining the electrical trade at the age of fifteen, and building his Home in Toronto and Big Gull Lake cottage. Alf loved to tinker in his garage, but always had time to chat to friends, neighbours, or passers-by and share a story or two. His sense of humour and imagination created memories that will never be forgotten by those who knew him.
Alf was the beloved husband of Gladys for 70 years and loving father of Janice (John Morrison), and Mark. He was very proud of his grandchildren Ian (Maggie), Alex (Cassie), Eric, and Ryan. The antics of his great grandchildren Aiden, Jonah, James, Adam, and Ella always brought a smile to his face.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Xie and the Creemore Medical Staff, St. Elizabeth’s nurse Shelby, PSW Michelle, and the staff at Campbell House for their compassionate, excellent care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Creemore Union Cemetery followed by a reception on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Campbell House - Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation. Alf will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.
