SANDBERG, Allen Oscar, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the infinite love and dedication of his family, on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Allen, beloved husband of his one and only, Hella. Loving father of Eric, Norman (Jan), and Annette Sandberg Patrick, It is an honor to have you as our father, dad. Proud Grandfather of Travis Sandberg, Meghan Rowbotham, nee Sandberg, (Adam), Chris Patrick (Amy), Cassandra Brunelle, nee Patrick, (Zander), Amanda Patrick (Adam), Ryan Burke (Ashley); Great Grandfather of Faith, Lawrence, Allie, Macy, Ava, Christopher, Landon, Ashton, Weston, Hunter and Elliot. His family was his greatest legacy, each of whom he dearly loved and cherished. Allen was a linguist and being fluent in five languages, he was a scholar of the highest degree. Allen loved to read and the Collingwood library was his second home. He will be missed by his "Library beauties". In fact, Allen was a charmer and had many "beauties" that he liked to give hugs to, such as; The Meridian Bank, Theatre Collingwood, Simcoe Theatre, and all of Hella's friends, just to name a few. Allen's sense of humor kept everyone laughing and his handshake remained firm to the end. He will be dearly missed, forever honored, always loved and never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, please give a charitable donation to the "Collingwood Public Library", so that the generations to follow can continue to enjoy and learn from reading books as much as he did. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 17, 2019 from 1-4 p.m. at the Simcoe Street Theatre.
