Obituary

Audrey Jean (Reinhart) Bell, quietly passed away at home with her husband Eldon by her side on Sunday, August 30, 2020 just 9 weeks shy of her 95th birthday. Both Audrey and Eldon have been living with Denis and Lynda for the past 5 months at their Collingwood house enjoying the sunshine, waves and wildlife. Audrey and Eldon had just celebrated their 73rd Wedding Anniversary in May 2020 - what a life of love and togetherness they have had and leave behind for us. She was the beloved daughter of Alvin and Vida Reinhart and proud mom of Denis (Lynda), Brian (Lori), Cindy (Roy) Gabriel and Sara (Tim) den Bok. She was the best loved nana/gramma of Nicole (Mark), Jordan (Teralyn), Natalie, Jessica (Pedro), Kourtney (Landon), Megan (Daxton), Katie (Simon), Hannah (Dustin), Daniel and Leah (Alejandro) and the greatest great nana to Kyanna, Kyle, Triston, Ava, Alyssa, Brayden, Michael, Zion, Noah and a little one expected in March 2021.

Audrey grew up watching and supporting her father, Alvin and her Uncle Ben as they put their hearts and energy into building Reinhart Cider and Vinegar Company. Although she worked for the first few years after completing high school and into her first years of being married, once she became a mother she most enjoyed creating a loving home for her family and a welcoming place for friends to visit - whether it was dessert after Sunday evening church service, being with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, family meals or friends over for a game of cards - she loved to be visiting. Next best thing was shopping for clothes, shoes and jewelry. Audrey was always classy, right up to the very end. Eldon and Audrey enjoyed travelling and were able to have many great trips throughout the world whether by plane, train, automobile, motorhome as well as the odd cruise ship. Audrey was Eldon’s biggest supporter and really enjoyed her time as First Lady of Simcoe County when Eldon was the Warden in 1987. They attended and were involved throughout their lives with the Stayner Evangelical Missionary Church.

While this is a great loss to Eldon and his family, we all have wonderful memories of her to keep in our hearts and hold dearly in our thoughts.

A private family gathering will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 to remember her and say our goodbyes. Interment will be at the Stayner Union Cemetery. Remembrances made to Gideons International would be appreciated by the family – please follow this link:

Condolences may be sent to Eldon Bell 75 Indian Trail, Collingwood, Ontario L9Y 0X2.

l remember her at one of her last attendances at senior camp final worship hour. For some reason l was struggling with chairs or pages or something. She was sitting behind me with Eldon and we had a chuckle over it. just what l needed at the moment.
