He was preceded in death by his sister Thérèse Richer. Third son of the late Achille and of the late Simonne (née Vinet) Richer, both of St-Albert, Ontario. He is survived by brother Charles Richer (Eliette), sister Rachel Boulard (late Marcel), sister Colette Richer, brother Claude Richer (Kathy) and Rénald Richer (Leah). Many knew him as "Bernie". A family man of strong faith, he was proud of his children. He enjoyed the simple things. He was a talkative soul and genuinely loved people. On his life path, he effortlessly made special friends and touched many. Mostly, he will be missed as a kind and loving person, blessing those around him with his thoughtful, generous nature. We need more "Bernies" in this world! Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 25th, at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, in Sudbury. All are welcome to mass at 10 a.m. A light lunch for family will follow. Donations in his honour may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
