Christie, Bette Sharon (Ashley)
Bette passed away peacefully in her sleep December 7, 2022, at Collingwood Nursing Home at the age of 79.
Beloved wife and faithful companion of 62 years to Keith Christie. Mom to Cheryl (Alex Yuen), of Collingwood and Steve (Christine) Christie of Niagara Falls. Cherished daughter of Eileen Rolfe of St. Catharines and the late Goldie Ashley. Sister of Pat (Rick) Larue of St. Catharines and Colin (Diane) Ashley of Thorold. Predeceased by her brother, Fred.
Loving grandmother to Chris (Nikki) Meloche, Cori (Jason) Bezotosny, Ashley (Drew) Donoghue, and Shaun. Survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family would like to thank the staff at Collingwood Nursing Home for providing compassionate care, love and laughter that truly brightened up Bette’s final years.
As per Bette’s wishes, she has been cremated. The family is planning a service and celebration of life to take place on a beautiful spring day at her family church, St. John’s Anglican Church in Jordan.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Georgian Triangle Humane Society or an animal shelter of your choice.
