Obituary for Bud McCannell
McCannell, James (Bud), age 90, of Collingwood, Ontario passed away peacefully at Campbell House on February 7, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Jagger) of 59 years and proud father of Jim (Deb), and Mike (Jen). Bud relished his role of Boppa and Grandpa to Kristian, Emily, Jenna, Alex, and Jamie.
Bud enjoyed life to the fullest and was often involved in many committees, organizations, and clubs. He was a member of Toronto and Collingwood Ski Club, Commander of Canadian Power Squadron, Director of Collingwood Curling Club just to name a few. His active lifestyle included skiing, boating, curling, golfing, flying, and driving around in his red MGB.
He loved to chat, be social, and always had a story to tell. When asked how he was doing..his reply, “just about perfect.”
He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace and fly high.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House in Bud’s memory would be appreciated. Celebration of life details will be advised at a later date.
