Obituary for David Chessell
Chessell, David Thomas passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 26, 2022, at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in his 76th year. David is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Cheryl. He will be forever loved by his daughters Lori (Dan) Dupont and Sara (Kenneth) Dolbeck and cherished by his grandsons Mark and Jack, who were the light of his life. Born in Collingwood to parents the late Noel and Jessie Chessell, David is survived by his twin brother Doug (Janet), Ross (Lynda) and Glenn (Valerie).
“Gramps” as he was known to many loved the outdoors, golf, hockey, his cats Gary, and Gary and most of all he loved his friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. As per his wishes cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 12, 2022, from 2-5 p.m. at the Collingwood Central Park Arena. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Lewin and the staff on the medical floor and ICU at G&M for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers donations in David’s memory may be made to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
