Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Sartor

Sartor, Elizabeth (Betty) Anne (nee Bachle) passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Campbell House in her 77th year. Betty was predeceased by her husband Peter (2019) of 57 years. She will be remembered as the proud and loving mother of Kim (Gary) VanHoecke, Jackie (Chris) King and Nicole (Mike McCordick); grandmother of Carson VanHoecke, Ethan & Farryn King and Arianna & Landon Sartor-McCordick. She was a mother like figure to Jason and Heather Fisher. Betty was born in Toronto to parents Leo and Elizabeth, raised by Art and Lily Foster, she is survived by her brothers Norm, Danny, Michael and Dan; sisters Collette, Suzanne, Louise and sister-in-law Sandra. She was predeceased by her brothers Sven and sisters Marie and Sherry and Peter’s brother Leo and sister Joan. Betty was a card shark, and was equally fast with a quick joke. Betty had a laugh that was infectious and could be picked out of a crowd. She could really hit the high note with her laugh, which could make you laugh just hearing it. She loved her family more than anything and would do anything for them or family friends. She loved entertaining and always threw the best birthday parties for her kids, which would take her the whole year to buy special party favours. As per her wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
