Peacefully on Wednesday April 7th, 2021 in Collingwood, Ontario, Emilio Angelo Nella passed away in his 86th year. Born in Carisolo, Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Italy on September 5th 1935. Beloved husband of Lucy Nella for 62 years. Proud and loving father of Antony Nella (Nancy), Samuel Nella and his wife Rozlyn, Ralph Nella and his wife Erin, Peter Nella and his wife Donna, and James Nella and his wife Allison. His pride and joy are his 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren that he leaves behind. Adored Nonno of Tyler (Chrissy), Sarah (Jeffrey), Kathleen (Jamie), Brenley, Raquel, Arleigh, Joshua, Pietra, Katrina, Anjelika, Terese, Julianne, Elizabeth, Kamilla, Francesca, Ruby, Henrietta, Penelope and Faith. Great-grandfather to Navy, Rain, Sonny and Cali. Dear brother of George Nella (Marisa), Augusto Nella (Josephine), Dina Sebben (Mario), Elide Povenelli (John), and Tarcisio Nella (Deborah). Emilio left Italy in 1951 to start a better life here in Canada where he was one of the founders of Nella Cutlery. His greatest attribute was his hard working and devoted personality that lives on with all his family members. He felt great pride when spending quality time with family at the cottage making Polenta but even more so when bringing them back home to Italy. Emilio will be missed dearly by relatives and friends in both Canada and Italy. A private family service will be arranged to honour the memory of Emilio Nella.
