McKean, John Franklin “Frank” passed away peacefully on Sunday June 2, 2019 at Errinrung Retirement Home in his 89th year. Frank, predeceased by his beloved wife Helen (nee Montgomery) and grandson Andrew. He will be remembered as loving father of John (Lea), Greg (Lori), Donald (Karen) and Nancy (Kathy), proud grandfather of Kaarina, Amy, Vanessa, Carson, Mallory, Allison, Jennifer, Brad, Jamie, Ashley, Taylor and David; great grandfather of Anna, Gwen, Ava, Hudson, Olivia, Kendall, Evalette and Henderson. Frank was one of 13 children born to Clunis and Edna McKean he is survived by his brother Don (Kay) and sisters June and Ruby; predeceased by brothers Grenville, Ray, Lindsay, Mel and Andy and sisters Laverne, Geraldine, Vivian and Eldred. Survived also by his brother in law John (Jacqueline) Montgomery. Life on the farm is what Frank knew best, he believed in hard work, he loved his horses but most of all he loved his family. Visitation will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home on Tuesday June 4, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. Interment at West Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation may be made in Frank’s memory.
