Growing up at Osler, Gar was a major presence! He helped us get on the j-bar, t-bars, and chairlifts safely and with STYLE! Behind the ubiquitous sunglasses he was always carefully watching and on the look-out. Thank you Gar for all your care and the Osler family was privileged to have you on staff for so many years. Condolences to the Graham family and all his friends. He will be sadly missed!

Liz, Chris, Cathy and your families,
So sad to hear about Gar's illness and passing. He was a good friend to Sarah and Carol in our early days at Blackthorne, our log home country property near Kolapore. In fact, Gar was the one who suggested we take a look at this plot of 25 acres, so a big thanks for that help. As we built our home and developed the property, he was a frequent assistant with all sorts of tasks as we learned to live in the country. Carol remembers him teaching her how to use a .22 rifle, and he and Chris helped us to acquire one. We also give all credit to Gar for teaching us how to plant and grow potatoes, which we continued to do every year at that property, and Carol has carried on doing so every year after she moved to other locations. And, we have fond memories of shopping and buying a big old Massey Ferguson tractor and snow blower, thanks to Gar. He taught us the safe and careful use of this machine, and we never got stuck in the snow or mud. And finally, many great memories of long chats at Osler, and hundreds of chair lift loadings, none of which ever whacked us on the back of our legs. RIP Gar. Carol Dockrell and Sarah May
