Joan Ida Deleana Brownridge (nee Playter)
October 25 1932- May 21 2019
Wife, mother, volunteer and ultimate caregiver. A lifelong resident of Collingwood, Joan enjoyed her life and especially loved living on the shores of Georgian Bay. For the last 5 years she has missed her beloved husband of 55 years Paul and now joins him in heaven.
She is survived by her son James Patrick Brownridge (Arlene Davis) and grandson Adam James Brownridge, daughter Jan Michele Brownridge (Michael Walsh). Missed by many nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the staff at Raglan Village and to Gillian Anderson for their compassionate care. Private family services have taken place. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society in Joan’s memory.

Sincere sympathy to all Joan's family. We originally met Joan when we attended the Presbyterian Church in Stayner. We renewed our friendship when we moved to The Galleries. In fact, Roger and Joan were together on the Board at The Galleries, for many years.

Blessings to all Joan's family as you mourn her passing. Joan was a fine Christian Lady and she always had a smile on her face, whenever we encountered her. God be with all of you, at this sad time, She and your Dad are together again and probably dancing and singing. She is not sick and hurting any more. You can treasure your memories of a very special lady. ,Joan was the epitome of a "Real Christian Lady".

My sincere condolences in the loss of your mother, a good friend and relative. While living in The Galleries I had the pleasure of spending time with Joan when she shared her expertise as a member of the Board of Directors. Her door was always open to her friends. Renewing my childhood memories with Paul when he moved to The Galleries brought many fond memories of our family visits. May Joan and Paul rest in peace.
