Beard, John Ardagh Dudley
Passed away peacefully at Collingwood Nursing Home on Saturday February 19, 2022. Born in Toronto to parents Maurice Dudley and Mary Naomi Beard.
Loving father to Catherine (Peter) and Douglas. Loving grandfather to Adam, Lindsay, Stephanie and Robert.
He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
John married his sweetheart Doreen (nee Lott) and together they built a wonderful life, she died in 1998. Predeceased also by his brothers Robert and David and second wife Anne Marie Dey.
John had a varied work history starting in banking and moving into the automotive business for 34 years as a leasing manager.
In 1980 John and Doreen retired to the family cottage in Craigleith. During his retirement years John was involved with the United Way of South Georgian Bay, the Thornbury Yacht Club, Treasurer at All Saint’s Anglican Church and a member of probus for many years.

Funeral for family and invited guests will be held at All Saint’s Anglican Church on Tuesday March 1, 2022, at 2 p.m. the service will be available by livestream (link under the PHOTOS & VIDEOS tab).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the United Way of Simcoe Muskoka.
