John Dooley passed peacefully at home with his family by his side on June 7, 2020 at the age of 91.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Teresa, beloved father of John, Geraldine, Aileen and Lorraine. Adored grandfather of Owen, Aneurin, Cian, Ronan, Isla and Tess. Sadly missed by sons and daughter-in-law Kelly, Hugh, Paul and Ken as well as cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

Born in Naas, Ireland on April 16, 1929, John emigrated to Toronto with his beloved Teresa in 1957. A sharp-witted story teller, devoted family man and faithful fan of the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, John was much loved for his kindness, compassion and generosity.

A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date.

Dear John, Geraldine, Aileen & Lorraine,

Words cannot express the Heartfelt Sorrow that we feel for you All at this sad time.
Please accept our Deepest Condolences on the Loss of Your Wonderful Dad.
He was a true Gentleman!! Your loss has left us Deeply Saddened.

Our Heartfelt Sympathies also to Kelly, Hugh, Paul and Ken, a better Father-In-Law you couldn’t have had.
To Owen, Aneurin, Cian, Ronan, Isla and Tess, we know you will miss your Grandad greatly.

You are All in Our Thoughts at this very Sad Time.
Our Uncle – John Dooley

Our Uncle John was the most kind and loving man, passing out kindness in ways that only a kind man can.
Gentle mannerisms, understanding and support, mixed with a great sense of humour are just some of the things we loved most.
We will never ever forget the stories you could tell.
We listened and laughed so hard we cried because those stories were told in a way only you could describe.
Your kindness was second to none, never forgetting or leaving out anyone.
With Auntie Teresa you cared for our Mam, always there giving her a supporting hand.
We especially remember Uncle John, the years when we were young, the memories you gave us, the summers of fun.

Together with Auntie Teresa you took us under your wings,
Cherished us, kept us safe and sound out of harm's way, there are not enough words to say
Thank You.
But did we thank you enough, did we really show our gratitude for all you did, giving us all that love together with Teresa when we were kids.
That same love which you both continued throughout the years, we hope you knew all along how much it meant to us what you both have done.

We looked up to you, respected and loved you, for you were a Gentleman kind and true, deserving of the love and respect given to you.
Now the time has come for you to rest, we know that we have been truly blessed
to have had an Uncle who was simply the best.
So rest in peace Dear Uncle John
Although you are not with us anymore the memories we have, we adore.
Your laugh, your smile, kind words and jokes, these will be how we remember you most.
When these come to mind we will feel relief from the grief your passing leaves behind.

Rest in Peace
Mary and Rebecca

Deepest sympathy to John, Geraldine, Aileen and Lorraine on the death of your father. I have lovely memories of time spent in your home in Indian Road on holidays with John Teresa and yourselves. Lovely gentleman your father and your mother Teresa such a lady. The stories of times spent back in Ireland in John and Teresas younger days and with my Mother and uncle Owen and Terry and my Aunt Mary will stay with us always. You are in our thoughts at this sad time for you all.
