Obituary for Kathleen 'Kate' Sheldon
Kathleen (Kate) Jean Sheldon (nee McDougall)
July 17 1923 - October 15 2020
Kathleen died peacefully in her sleep at Collingwood General and Marine hospital at 97 years old. With love, we will miss you immensely and you will be forever in our hearts.
Predeceased by her daughter Sally Eileen Bitz (nee Sheldon). Missed and loved by daughter Nancy Leila Cuff (nee Sheldon). Loved by grandchildren, Jennifer Jean Bitz, (Geordie), Jasmine Kathleen Cuff, (Matthew), Zachary Harrison Cuff and Cody Sheldon Cuff.
Loved by great grandchildren Simon and Emily, Violet and Calla.
They loved their fun GG and knew they were the centre of her universe. They were adored by GG. Loved and remembered until the end by Brian and Holly.
Kate’s artist soul and zest for life made an impression on everyone she met, as did her classic and vibrant sense of style. She was a legend at her favourite coffee spot, Espresso Post, that she visited daily for many years.
Thank you to staff and friends at Bayhaven Retirement Home for your care and compassion for Kate for the last 4 years of her life.
Thank you for the excellent care by nurses and doctors at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital the last 4 weeks of Kate’s life. Thank you Dr. Young for a long and compassionate healthcare relationship with Kate and family. Thank you Dr. Sunderland for your care in the last few days of life in the hospital. Your care helped her passing to be calm and comfortable.
Thank you and prayers to her kind friends from All Saints Anglican Church. Special thanks to Sharon Goldsworthy for her everlasting friendship and care over many years. You were a great friend.
