I am so sorry for your loss. I taught Kenneth and I remember his enthusiasm and positive energy. I was so thrilled to reconnect with him when he & Ryan came to Admiral recently to deliver their inspiring Giv’r message to the kids - their exuberance was contagious. My heart goes out to your family.

The service at First Presbyterian Church, with capacity ‘full to bursting’, was such a tribute to Kenneth … a most beautiful and meaningful experience … such a reflection of Kenneth’s energy, dedication, genuine love for people and the fun he brought with his ‘famous’ smile and sense of humour. To see you, Kathy, Mac, Angus and Daniel surrounded by our ‘Church family’ at this time of grave sorrow, will inspire love, hope and healing. Continue to surround yourselves with this family with whom you can share both the tears and smiles that come with precious memories.

Murray & I care deeply and pray that we can somehow be among those who help you heal.
Kindly and with a whole lot of love,
Murray & Shirley MacAlpine

Kenneth was an incredible young man who enriched the life of every single person that he met. He lived his life on earth to the fullest, always looking for his next adventure. Whether we saw him at Brgrz, Azzura's or on the pitch he would always come over with that incredible smile of his to say hello. Kenneth was a kind, compassionate and giving young man. He has left such a positive legacy on this world and we are all saddened at his premature passing but blessed to have known him.

For Kenneth McAlpine, 1991-2019. A true light in the universe.

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a lampstand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16)

Kenneth was a tremendous man. I knew him for a short two years while we worked in Residence together at Algonquin, and I wish I had kept in better contact afterwards. His memory will live on in the minds of all those that loved him, and you can be sure I will always keep him in mine. May God comfort you in this difficult time, sending my prayers to your family.
