With profound sadness we announce that on January 23, 2021, Kimberly Ann Gibson passed away after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Kimberly left this world as she wished, at home, having spent her final days surrounded by loved ones and saying goodbyes. She was able to share her love and reassure us that she was going to a place of serenity, one where she will watch over us with the same exemplary care and love that she provided through her journey of life. Predeceased by her parents Dorothy and George Caldough, Kimberly is survived by her daughter Melany Rhea Gibson and son Christopher George Gibson, along with her beloved grandchildren Jennifer, Alexandra, and Jack, as well as her sister Salama Evans, niece Nassira Powell, and nephews Adam and Ali Powell.
Kimberly always brought a smile to all of her clients through her work at Tyrolean Village resorts for over 30 years with her best friend Brenda Martinek and "second" sons Dennis, Peter and Paul Martinek, along with her dear friends Trish and Doug MacArthur.
What Kimberly left each person in a casual passing was a smile, laughter, wonderment, and sense of care. What Kimberly left for those within her circle of family and friends was strength, love, humour, and an endless yearning to love and care for her as much as she did for you.
May she dance amongst the clouds above us while we live the life she would want us to live....step by step.
In accordance with her wishes, a private memorial will be held for Kimberly in the spring. Please remember Kimberly in your own way and in lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
