Obituary for Lori Higdon

Higdon, Lori Anne (nee Bartlett)
Lori passed away on November 26, 2019 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie at the age of 60. Predeceased by her parents Ray and Winnifred Bartlett. Lori was born September 23, 1959 in Toronto and grew up in Wasaga Beach prior to residing in Collingwood.
Lori will be deeply missed by Bruce; her husband and best friend of 43 years. She was the proud and loving mother of Ron (Carla Scheffold) and Sheila (Adam Kilukishak) and will be forever cherished by her grandchildren; Morgan, Carter, Leah-Ray and Hazel.
Lori had a magnetic personality and was well known for her big heart, contagious laugh, and sense of humour. She will be remembered for her joy of life, the sparkle in her eyes and her selflessness. She loved to cook and her front door was always open to friends and family. She brought people together with parties and gatherings that guaranteed laughter, great memories and no one left hungry!! Lori was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends, and held so many special connections with so many people. Friends were her family. Lori will be greatly missed by all of her sisters and close friends that were family because of friendship. We are all the better for having known her and have lost a small piece of ourselves in her leaving. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all she knew.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life which will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion - Collingwood on Tuesday December 3rd 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. In honor of her favorite day, please feel free to wear your “St Patrick's Day Best” to celebrate Lori.
Donations to the Legion, in lieu of flowers, would be greatly appreciated.
