Obituary for Mark Dryden

With profound sadness, parents Elaine Stirchun Dryden and Paul Dryden announce the unexpected sudden passing of their son Mark Matthew Dryden January 28, 2019 in his 55th year. He will be greatly missed by Aunt Erla Maxwell, cousins Bill and Nancy and families. Late Uncle Ron’s family cousins Laurie, Sherry, Peter and special cousin Brendan and families. Aunt Sharon, Uncle Gord Hall, cousins Carrie, Connie, Amy and families. Mark’s loss is deeply felt in a community that he became such a part of when he moved into Collingwood 30 years ago and started at E3 Community Services. Mark became employed by the town then moved on being employed many years by a local hardware store. Last year marked 18 years being a carrier for the local newspaper. Mark loved working and being employed. His quiet, gentle nature made him popular with everyone. His wit, humorous outburst, impressed and enjoyed by all. Mark was not a Sheldon Cooper but did have a memory, especially for names, most adults want. He loved slapstick comedy. He will be deeply missed by many. A memorial service will be held Friday February 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
