Dear Rita, Lesley and Chris,
My sincere sympathies to you and your family.
I have known Mike for many many years through the Glendon Athletic Club. He always had a smile on his face and great sense of humour. Whether it was at the Squash Lounge ; on our annual Ski Days; at our annual golf tournament; renewing his membership at the office or passing him in the hallway, Mike was always so nice, cordial and just lovely. We are definitely better for knowing him. I cannot imagine the immeasurable loss you are feeling, but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike and I worked on many a contract at IBM and he was consistently professional, respectful and genuinely one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of knowing and working with. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Rita, Lesley and Chris, We were so upset and saddened to hear this horrible news. When I first met Mike back in law school, he was one the brightest , funniest and most fun people I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. Then when we met up with our families (a few) years later at Bayview Wildwoods, it was like we hadn't missed a beat. We had some great times together with our families. There are no words to express how badly we feel. We hope that you will have the strength to get through this very difficult time.
All our love,
Bonnie and Howard Wolch and family

I’m still in shock and smiling with tears as I remember many great times I had with Mike. It all started at Lucent where we both joined at a very strange time. We were the new guys hired while many were being let go which made for an instant bond. We would spend many lunch hours playing pool and sharing stories. Rita and Mike’s kids were quite young and my girls had yet to be born. We discussed when our time to be tapped on the shoulder would come, enjoy his flashy company car and laugh at some of the interesting personalities we worked with. We watched in disbelief the events of 911. We got out for a fairly regular beer and some golf and Mike even joined us for some skates as well. I think he was a late comer to hockey. We stayed in touch after Lucent and coincidentally found ourselves under the same company again years later at IBM. Mike spoke highly of his family - I remember meeting Lesley at bring your grade nine to work day and gave Mike a few jabs about the trouble he was in in the future...something he jabbed back to me years later with my girls! Loved having him at guys weekends and golf nights. He was a consistent spectacular guy. I was so happy for him and the move to Collingwood. Condolences and happy memories to Rita, Lesley and Chris. Love you brother Mike!

Dear Rita, Lesley and Chris,
John and I were so sad and sorry to hear about Mike. I am so glad we had our get together at the TASSS reunion almost two years ago but sorry we didn't get up to visit with you since then, Rita! Thinking of all of you at this very difficult time. xoxo
