Obituary for Robert Lawson
Robert Keith Lawson passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 3, 2022, at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital surrounded by his family, at the age of 89.
Born July 12, 1933, in Parry Sound, he was one of 11 children of the late Charles and Vera Lawson.
Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Betty Ann (2008). He is survived by his children Mike (Shirley), Debbie (John) Black, Brent (Linda), Wendy (Grant) Logan, and Jeff (Taunya). Forever cherished grandfather of Crystal (Nick), Darryl, Brian (Desmond), Mike, Sean, Ryan (Mel), Jesse (Jordan), Steven (Kyndra), Josh (Michelle), Jenna (Gavin), Carlee and Trevor (Brittney) and great grandfather of Oliver, Everly, Elodie, Chayce plus one new addition on the way.
Robert proudly served his country as a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 25 years. He also spent time working at the Collingwood Shipyards.
Family was always important to Robert, he lived for his kids, and he was never too busy for anything they ever needed. He was extremely proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed every moment he got to spend with each of them. He will be deeply missed.
A private family service will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home with interment at Trinity United Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.
