Obituary

Ross Edward Carne passed away Saturday November 30th at Collingwood Nursing Home at the age of 64. He is survived by his wife Janice, son David (Kayla) and grandchildren Ethan, Jocelyn and June and his sisters Phyllis Simon (John) and Arlene Rayment (Larry). Ross suffered for many years with physical and mental illness and the family is grateful that he is healed and whole at last! In Ross’s memory and in lieu of donations and flowers please enact an “Act of Kindness”. Call someone and take them for a drive, a coffee, rekindle a relationship - forget the “we have to get together sometime” statement and just do it! Pay it forward at Tim’s or McDonalds. We can all think of something. “What a difference you made in my life”............There will be a Celebration of Life on Wednesday December 11th at the Leisure Time Club in Collingwood between 1:30-3:30 p.m.

I will always remember Ross as the most patient and kind man ever. His smile could light up a room and his presence made me feel safe. He was so patient with me as he taught me about hockey, football and rugby (which I tried so very hard to understand) I will make sure to pass on his wonderful stories to Ethan. Sending my love to the family!

Janice and family, we are so sorry to hear about Ross, it’s a lot to take in and deal with as we are doing the same in Alberta with his sister Arlene and dementia & Parkinson’s. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time and we hope you can find comfort now that he is in a better place. ❤️ Sending hugs from Alberta from all of us.
