It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Stephen Meyers who died by suicide on September 3, 2022, at 39 years. He is loved deeply by his wife Mandy and their 3 daughters Ruby, Laura, and Julie.
Born and raised in Collingwood by parents Roger and Marlene (nee Smith), Stephen is survived by his sisters Patricia (Ryan), Kari, and Meaghan (JV). He will be remembered by his nieces Alexis, Morgan, Audrey, Malin, Marley, and nephew Evan. Also remembered by his mother in law Kathleen McLaughlin, father in law Don Coggan, sisters in law Tricia Coggan, sister in law Connie MacDonald (Craig).
After courageously pursuing a nursing career in his 30’s after working as a PSW in long term care, Stephen graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from York University. He was a shining example to his children, reaching his goals through hard work and dedication.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Wednesday September 7, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 140 Maple St. at 1 p.m. Thursday September 8, 2022. In lieu of flowers donations to a trust account for Stephen’s daughters may be made by e-transfer meyerstrust@outlook.com
