Currie, Violet (nee Lopez) passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on Sunday July 19, 2020 in her 79th year. Violet was predeceased by the love of her life Gerald Currie and will be forever remembered by her children Tammy (Ken), Art (Cathy), Teresa (Richard), Donnie (Brenda), Shannon (Adam) and Michelle (Derek). She was the proud and loving grandmother of the late René and the late Mitchell, Christina, Kelly, Dustin, Dylan (Kassidy), Kimberly, Emily, Gerald, Sarah, Cassie, Charlie, Sam, Helana, Makayla, Jonathon and Hunter and great grandmother of Christopher, Oliver and Abbie. Born in Newfoundland to parents Charles and Suzie Lopez, Violet was predeceased by her siblings Mert, George, Edith and Peter. She will be deeply missed by her dog Shelby. Family will gather for a time of reflection at Fawcett Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held at Stayner Union Cemetery on Thursday July 23, 2020 by invitation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
