It is with heavy hearts that the Oudit family announces the passing of Wilfred Oudit. Wilf passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on March 11, 2023, at Campbell House.

Wilf is survived by his wife and best friend of 62 years Amena. Together they raised five children and built a life full of love. He will be deeply missed by his sons Reynold (Doreen) and Troy and daughter Sherry (Gary Banting) Oudit. He will be remembered as the proud Papa of Alexandria Oudit, Steven (Aspen) and Josh (Victoria) MacDuffie, Stephanie (Brad) McKean and Travis Schreyer and great Papa of Evalette, Henderson, Hudson, and Kingston.

Born in Trinidad to parents Elijah and Naomi Oudit, Wilf is survived by his two sisters Lynette in British Columbia and Ethlyn in Trinidad and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Many will remember Wilf as the smiling face at Walmart, where he proudly worked for more than 10 years. Cooking and sharing food gave him great joy, he cherished being surrounded by family and friends. He loved music and dancing and was singing his favourites until he could no longer sing. He has left his family with precious memories of a life well lived.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Sunday March 19, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday March 20, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church. The service will be available by livestream. In lieu of flowers donations to Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
