The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James 'Jimmie' Georgas can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

We were so sorry to hear 'Nouno' had passed away so suddenly. Our thoughts go out to you, as well as the rest of our family.
I know as my 'Nouno'(godfather), I have many happy memories of my times with him.
May your own individual memories help sustain you as you move forward through the coming weeks.
He was certainly an inspiration to sports enthusiasts, both young and old.
Our love and prayers are with you all.

Condolence: Dear Barbara & all the family:

Our sincere condolences in your loss. Jimmy had a wonderful life & lived it to the fullest. He will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered. We have many great memories of our times together in the 50's & 60's as he was a good buddy to Bernie, teaching him to play the saxophone & in the band with the Georgas boys. Our thoughts & prayers are with you. Sincerely Myrna, Bernie & Family

Condolence: I am deeply sorry to hear about Jimmie's passing. My condolences to the whole Georgas family. Jimmie was a true sporting legend, he inspired me in my duathlon pursuits, and I am glad I got to know him outside of the run-bike-run world as a great guy. We were all very fortunate to have Jimmie in our lives. RIP Jimmie.

Condolence: Barbara, Helen, Nick, Earl, Chris, Marilynn, & James and Grand Kids:
Please accept our deepest Condolences on the new of Jim's departure. Remember to let us know when the date is you are going to celebrate his life. As my family Dad(Len) & Brother Alf played in the Grey & Simcoe Foresters Band with Jim. I have known Jim most of my life. He also was a good friend of my cousin Ken Iles who passed away some time ago.

I can only say what a band they have upstairs now!

His love for life was only overshadowed by the love he had for his family.

Last time I seen Jim was at the O.S.C.V.I. last reunion. He could still swing it. Before that on the Golf Course at Collingwood for a steak Night.

Thinking of all of you, and Jim (with a smile) may God Bless.

Larry & Dianne Stuck
