Condolences

Condolence From: Donna Walc
Condolence: Her niece Kaetrin described Barb as her 'funny and cheeky' aunt. I sure can concur with that! My name is Donna Walc, and I and Mary Ellen Forsythe, taught with Barb in Etobicoke,

We taught at John English School, and the three of us shared the same room. Our individual workspace was separated by a 6' high partition. We were all in the Communications Department, and worked wth Learning Disabled students. Our groups ranged from 1 to 4 students per group, and changed every hour.

In addition to funny and cheeky, I remember Barb as most eloquent with proper diction! Her lovely English accent seemed to give her words the authenticity and authority , that students dared not oppose!

Barb was bubbly in personality, and a most congenial person to work with in our close quarters.

I always pictured her as the teacher in 'The King and I'.

I just happened upon her photo in the obits......usually I skip, this section of the paper. I am so glad I did that day.....her picture drew me in; she looked like I remembered her!

My condolences to the family!

Condolence From: Kaetrin Stephenson
Condolence: My gorgeous, funny, fun and cheeky aunt. My memories are of fun times from when I was just a kid - playing games and always being interested in what I did, through to adulthood and being part of our emigration to New Zealand story. As an adult, I loved my trips to Collingwood with lots of laughs and sharing stories and (of course) a trip to Tim Hortons for a dozen donuts.
I cherish all my memories and know you are smiling on us all now.
All my love and hugs to Mike, Carol, Nicole, Paul, Greg & Chris
