Abaza, Matija ‘Matt’ passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday January 16, 2017 at Campbell House in his 69th year. Matt is survived by his loving wife Mary and sons Josip (Kim), Antun (Cheri) and Mike (Lisa). He will be forever cherished by his grandchildren Andrew, Chantel, Rachel, Leah, Abbie, Matthew and Addison. He is survived by his brother Nikola in Croatia; he is predeceased by his parents Martin and Katarina and his brothers Antun and Petar. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Thursday January 19, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday January 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Spring interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle (Campbell House) would be appreciated.
