Obituary for Bob Parkinson

Bob Parkinson
Harold Robert “Bob” Parkinson
August 28, 1937 – February 6, 2017
Bob died peacefully after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by his loving partner of over 54 years, Jack Cousins. Bob was a lifetime employee of Royal Insurance Canada. He and Jack spent many happy years at Brewster’s Lake, near Collingwood, ON. Bob loved kayaking with Charley and Sinead, their Golden Retrievers, and they spent many relaxing hours on the lake. Their gardens were always beautiful and they delighted in entertaining their many friends and family members. Both were passionate friends of animals, and supporters of animal rescue. As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to Save Me Dog Rescue, www.savemedogrescue.ca/donations or mail to Save Me Dog Rescue, 27 Harrison Avenue, Guelph, ON N1H 5K2. Many thanks to the amazing staff of Chartwell Georgian Traditions and Campbell House (Hospice Georgian Triangle) for the compassionate professional care that Bob received.
