Smith, Ruby (nee McCoy) - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital in her 80th year. Ruby, beloved wife of the late Harold Smith; loving mother of Gail and her husband Murray Whiteside. Cherished grandmother of Jason (Tara) Whiteside, Brandy (Donn) Tyrrell and great grandmother of Emma-Lee Belle Tyrrell. Dear sister of Howard and Ken McCoy. Ruby is predeceased by her siblings Edwin, Louise, George, Eleanor, Margaret, Bruce and Mary and by parents Edward and Pearl McCoy. Friends may visit at Fawcett Funeral Homes – Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street, on Sunday, March 11, 2007 from 7-9 in the evening. A memorial service will take place in the chapel on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruby’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the General and Marine Hospital.
